Distribution Manager

We are a small craft brewery in Conroe, Texas that is known for our creative beer styles and unique taproom setting. We need a Distribution Manager to add to our team to continue our growth as a self-distributed brewery in the Houston area. The Distribution Manager will be the key person in managing all aspects of our on- and off-premise distribution and sales.

  • Willingness to travel throughout the Houston area
  • Ability to work outside in the Houston heat all day for events

Job Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to COO

  • Responsible for achieving sales revenue targets and managing all aspects of territory, which includes; managing sales/delivery team’s day-to-day schedule, meeting with on- and off-premise buyers, assuring timely delivery, completing accurate invoices, beer line cleaning, hot shot deliveries, assisting accounts with draft troubleshooting, etc.
  • Use EKOS and spreadsheets to maintain detailed records of all account orders and contact information. Communicate with our Delivery Driver to schedule deliveries and plan efficient routes.
  • Manage and communicate inventory allocations and beer release schedule to the sales team.
  • Complete real-time account visit check-ins and reports.
  • Acquire new on- and off-premise accounts while maintaining consistent, recurring sales at existing accounts.
  • Be in contact with a minimum of 40 on- and off-premise accounts per week, and hold Sales Representative(s) responsible for meeting similar requirements.
  • Acquire and attend monthly promotional events at on- and off-premise accounts which highlight our beer and allow us to promote our brand (i.e. Pint Nights, Tap Takeovers, samplings, etc).
  • Responsible for ensuring all territory accounts submit accurate payment by check or through Fintech, and provide accurate invoicing to account and delivery driver using EKOS inventory management system.
  • Mentor and instruct subordinates on how to be an efficient sales person.
  • Ensure beer is within the established freshness date at each location.
  • Represent B52 at large craft beer events.
  • Maintain company vehicle.

Ideal Candidate Skills & Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in on- and off-premise sales within the Houston alcohol industry
  • 2+ years management experience
  • Proven knowledge of how to obtain and maintain relationships with on- and off-premise accounts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Proficiency in EKOS and Fintech preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the inner workings of the craft beer industry
  • Exceptionally organized and prompt

Requirements:

  • High school degree required.
  • Drivers license and clean driving record required.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time, drive your own vehicle, lift up to 75 pounds, and maneuver up to 165 pounds.
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday through Friday and occasionally weekends
